It continues…
Due to a rich array of peculiar experiences coupled with physical and non-physical challenges I’ve been largely MIA for the last 15 plus years. Based on what fell in place it has become increasingly difficult for me to share my creative output in any sort of “official” promoted context. I am currently attempting to address this and come out of “hibernation” and actually promote some of what I’ve written and recorded over the course the last 20 years (including 22 Pop Nods albums). I’m also assembling an overview of some of what has taken place and where things stand. It has been a particularly unsettling, confusing and discouraging time and addressing this and moving forward isn’t particularly easy.
Now (Part One) March 25, 2024 update – the Thanks For Listening album is now available on bandcamp. The album is built upon an hour-long vocal and drum improv session I recorded in 2014 that produced 48 tracks. As I developed the recording I whittled it down to 23 tracks. This is one of the few times I attempted a GKB-like improv session playing a drum kit as opposed to lap “drums”. The drums and most of the lead vocal parts are from the original improv (I re-sang most of the lead vocals, due to pitch issues associated with my playing drums and singing without any musical accompaniment).
Now (Part Two) Here I Am – January 23, 2024 Improvisation – Somewhat edited, somewhat developed vocal/guitar improvisation recorded on January 23, 2024. Rough mix now available for a listen on soundcloud. Improved “demo” mix coming to bandcamp soon.
